How does prematurity affect how clever or intelligent you are?

Depends: A premi baby who has good potential & does not have complicated brain bleeds or other troublesome issues in the neonatal nursery can do well. One of my smallest patients who weighed in at under a pound at birth started baylor at 17 and graduated from their honors program.Like anything else there is a range of possibilities for each patient.
