A member asked:

How do you control asthmatic breathing in very hot dry weather?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asthma Controllers: If your asthma is causing you to have increased symptoms, regardless of the trigger, hot weather included, you may need to have a controller medication prescribed or the one you are using may need to be increased. Immediate symptomatic relief is achieved by using a rescue medication like albuterol, but the symptom improvement is very short-lived. That is why a controller med is needed.
