Not typically: IF it is just a standard arthroscopy with menisectomy most people can get around on crutches or a walker. IF it is more extensive surgery may require that. I let my patients ambulate as tolerated with single leg arthroscopy. I would probably recommend you take care of one knee and then 3-4 weeks later take care of the other.
