How long should i allow for my appointment in endoscopy?

2 hours: I recommend to my patients to allow for an hour prior to the exam and 30 minute recovery post procedure. I allot 30 minutes for one exam or 45 minutes for 2 procedures (egd and colonoscopy).

Usually: 1/2 -1 hour for preop and preparation, another 1/2-1 hour for procedures and 1/2 hour for recovery but best to discuss with your endoscopist ahead of time.
