A member asked:

Why is it that any pressure added to any part on my body leads to a numb and tingling sensation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies--new vs old: If you've had this since childhood or young adulthood, you may have a rare condition called hereditary sensitivity to compression neuropathy. More likely you may be suffering from an acquired, usually metabolic/nutritional condition such as diabetes. Other causes include thyroid disease & cancer. See your doctor if this is prominent.
