Probably: Binge drinking in pregnancy is a problem as is alcoholism. There is a condition called fetal alcohol syndrome in babies that can be intense for newborns. As with everything, moderation is the key.

No clear info: The most serious cases of fetal alcohol syndrome are born to alcoholics. However, there is no level of alcohol consumption that can be considered without risk.Ethanol can be broken down in the fetus to byproducts that injure cells. Maternal alcohol consumption is thought to be a significant cause of ADD& ADHD.If you drink, it may be years before the impact is evident.
