No rabies: It seemsThe cat bite 8 months ago did not give you any problem suggesting rabies or any other disease . Usaually vaccination is given soon after the cat bite to prevent rabies . Any how ,now you are not going to get rabies and well protected even in future if you ever get bitten by cat , dog or other animals carrying rabies .

GOOD FOR 2: After completing the primary rabies series you are considered protected for any exposure within two years. Persons in high risk professions are advised to have antibody tests after that time to see if a booster is needed.I wouldn't worry about this germ for now.
