Find out cause: Some people of african &/or Asian descent may normally have low white cell count that fluctuate between 2.5 to 5.0, not causing any problem with the ability to fight off infection as long as the absolute neutrophil count is above 1k.However, if the ANC falls below 1k, keeps decreasing, is assoc w/anemia &/or low platelet count, then see doc as could be sign of a host of causes.C additnl comments belo.
