Not a lost cause: If you have blockages already, tx can serve to stabilize the plaque that is present & later to try & reverse it. The former is important b/c you can have unstable plaque that is vulnerable to acute blockage (ie a heart attack) & certain tx can help prevent this. The latter is important to decrease long-term risk. It will req hard wk, determination, but you can do it w/ help from a proactive doctor.
