A member asked:

Will my breathing be interfered with during esophageal manometry?

No except....: Many people are anxious during the test and the tube generally goes into the nose so you may sense faster breathing and feel congested. However, just like an upper endoscopy, the tube goes into the esophagus and does not pass into the trachea so breathing is unaffected.
