Maybe: Gastroesophageal reflux becomes a disease when it damages your esophagus, vocal cords and/or lungs ;/or when it significantly alters your lifestyle. When it is a disease, treatment options include lifestyle changes, medication, endoscopic or surgical procedures. See your primary care provider or gastroenterologist to find out more. Hope this helps!
