A member asked:

Is there a chance of aids or any other venereal disease being spread by straight people?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely!: Hiv (the virus that causes aids) can be transmitted by a male-female sexual contact, male-male sex, or female-female sex. Using a condom can help decrease the spread. If one of your partners has been diagnosed with HIV or aids, get tested now and 6 months after your last sexual contact with that person.
