A member asked:

Can you tell me if a person has an autoimmune disease, wouldn't they be immune to aids?

Autoimmune: That is not true at all. An autoimmune disease is when your immune system is attacking your own tissues, not recognizing you as you. That definitely would not prevent you from getting AIDS or anything else.
