Urinary diversion: A pouch is created using ascending colon and a portion of the ileum from which the ureters are diverted to. This reservoir will connect to the skin via a ostomy from which the pouch can be drained.

Neo-bladder: An Indiana Pouch, also known as a "neo-bladder" is a reconstructed bladder made from a section of your intestines. It is performed when your existing bladder is damaged or affected to the point of no longer being able to hold urine.
