Is polymyalgia rheumatic an autoimmune disease?

Unknown: Pmr is an inflammatory rheumatologic syndrome that manifests itself as pain and morning stiffness in the neck, shoulder girdle, and/or pelvic girdle. The exact cause of pmr is unknown. Possible theories involve an infectious link and genetic links, but nothing has been confirmed.
