If you don't balance: Most people will preferentially work out the front of the body. Like chest, biceps, abdomen. This pulls everything forward and you can end up with a rounded upper back and shoulders. Make sure you balance this out with toning the upper and lower back muscles and stretch the pectorals to help your shoulder blades sit back. The mens olympic gymnastics team needs to work on this too! check them out.
