Depends: Needle aponeurotomy is a method of breaking of the contractures in the deeper skin layers. There has been some success with this, however, it is both operator dependent and also how the tissues will react to the procedure.

Yes/yes: The results depend on having the right indications-it will not work for every patient with dupuytren's disease. In the right patient the results are excellent.

Dupuytren surgery: Dupuytens is a progressive disorder that at this point does not have a cure but has very successful treatments. Traditionally treatment observed until contracture was severe and surgery was offered.
