Question about women's cancers - is there a difference between a gynecologist and a gynecology oncologist?

Big difference: A gynecologist is a doctor that screens and may diagnose female cancers. They also see patients for things like period problems and birth control. A gynecologic oncologist treats cancers of the cervix, uterus, ovaries, tubes, vagina, and vulva (not breast).
