Great for baby & mom: Your breast milk is great: full of special nutrition and things that protect your baby from getting sick. Breastmilk is easier for your baby to digest. Breastfeeding is great for moms too: easier to do (no mixing, measuring, less bottle washing), cheaper, and healthier too (lower risk diabetes, breast & ovarian cancer, depression). Less work missed because breastfed babies sick less.

Many factors!: Breastmilk is the perfect food for a newborn. Breastfed babies get less frequent serious bacterial infections, as well as less colds and mild illnesses. Babies that are breastfed also have an IQ advantage of several points as shown in research! Closeness with mom and early bonding are benefits as well. Breastmilk is also FREE, and will help you get back to pre baby weight faster!
