How do you get rid of a sore throat with a runny nose and some watery eyes?

Viral infections: The combination of runny nose and watery eyes, plus sore throat is highly suggestive of a viral infection - for which there is no known treatment that will cure it. Standard advice is to stay well hydrated (drink plenty of fluids), take decongestants such as Pseudoephedrine to minimize the runny nose, and Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for the pain. Then just add a tincture of time.
