A member asked:

What other meds interact with timolol eyedrops and why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mess that slow heart: Timolol is an eyedrop that can slow the heart rate. It is in the class called beta blockers. Other beta blockers such as atenolol and metoprolol also slow the heart. Calcium channel blockers such as Diltiazem and verapamil also slow the hr as does digoxin. Sometimes timolol has enough systemic effect to slow the heart either alone or in combo with other meds.
