Be gentle.: Today's soft contact lenses are thinner and more apt to break if mishandled. They are manufactured this way to permit more oxygen permeability to the cornea resulting in greater comfort with their use. The lenses really should not be breaking when they are placed in your eye. You are likely being a little rough on them. Ask your eye doctor to reinstruct you on their proper insertion and removal.
