Yes: Retinochoroiditis refers to inflammations/infections affecting the retina primarily and the choroid secondarily. The retina contains the photoreceptors (e.g., rods and cones) which enable you to see. Damage to the photoreceptors will affect your vision. The goal is to identify the cause of the inflammation/infection and to treat aggressively before too much irreversible damage to the vision occur.
