Endometriosis & IVF: Depo-lupron monthly or 3-month injections are used for women with endometriosis, pelvic pain or fibroids, men with prostate cancer, and children with puberty too young. Subcutaneous injections of leuprolide are used in fertility treatment to prevent ovulation in in vitro fertilization cycles, as a trigger shot for egg donors and ivf patients, and in very low doses for microdose flare ivf protocols.
