That's a long answer: Hormones such as estrogen have multiple forms. Some are naturally occuring in humans, others are synthetic, animal or plant based compounds that have simular effects. Bio-identicals are more like the compounds made in the human body. For menopause treatment most studies show little to no advantage. Furthermore many compounded products are not monitored by fda. Advantages depend on their use.
