Can hormone therapy be an alternative to breast augmentation at 50?

Possibly but don't: Although hormone therapy may produce enlargement of the breasts as an incidental event i would not advise that you or your friend take them for this sole intended purpose without a thorough understanding of the risks, alternatives, and benefits.

PLEASE DON'T: Hormone therapy should only be used to correct hormone issues, not to enlarge breasts. Yes, you might see some mild enlargement but at the same time you've significantly increased your risk of breast cancer.

Not recommended!: Although you may see an increase in your breast size as result of hormone replacement therapy (hrt), it should not be the means to larger breasts. There are inherent risks to hrt need to be understood and it is intended to treat hormone deficiencies. Breast implants are currently the best method for breast enlargement and can be safely at age 50.

No.: At time of this writing the fda approved and most scientifically sound way to increase your breast size is with an implant. Taking hormones for medical issues is one thing, taking them to just increase the size of your breasts may not be in your best interests. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon. http://www.jjrothmd.com/procedures/breast-augmentation.

Sorry: Hormone therapy will not give you a fuller breast without causing serious side effects. Your body's hormone system is a very delicate system and altering it can cause serious problems.

Not a good idea: Highly unlikely that hormone therapy will increase breast size at 50 years old. It is more likely to cause harm. Certain breast cancers are sensitive to hormones. http://www.dassmd.com/breast-augmentation/index.html.

Hormone: Therapy just for breast size manipulation is a poor idea. Get implants. Safer.
