Do you know anyone who has had a septal myectomy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?

Myectomy: Surgical myectomy may be done to treat certain patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and it would be prudent to discuss the risk/benefits with your physician (s). In certain complex cases, getting more than one medical opinion may be beneficial before embarking upon surgery.
