A member asked:

What are some pros and cons of the meningococcal vaccine ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not autism!: The vaccine-autism myth is definitely not a consideration. The downside of avoiding the vaccine, as is the case with all vaccines, is the disease. The risk of getting the disease is far worse than the vaccine, for sure. Meningitis can be fatal, and is highly contagious. So avoiding the vaccine puts the whole family, or even the whole dormitory at risk!
