What are the risks from meningococcal vaccine?

Minimal: More common side effects include irritation at injection site, and less commonly, fever. As with all immunizations, allergic reaction is a rare, but real possibility. Guillian-barre is a rare, but serious neurologic reaction to some immunizations. Immunizations are a controversial topic. Do your due diligence and then make a decision if immunizing is right for you. Don't just follow the herd.

See below: The most serious risk is a severe allergic reaction which is very rare. The most common side effect is a case of redness at the site of injection. The effects of meningitis are catastrophic, so i would urge you to get the vaccination.
