A member asked:

Is there available help for severe pelvic/abdominal adhesions?

Yes: Adhesions are often suspected in patients who have had prior abdominal surgery, but they are difficult to prove, unless there is bowel obstruction, diagnosed by x-ray or ct scan. Obstruction is usually treated surgically. Adhesions can sometimes cause pain in patients who have irritable bowel syndrome, which can be treated with medications and dietary management.

Depends: Symptomatic identified adhesions can be treated. Many abdominal adhesions are present and are a symptomatic and require no treatment.
