A member asked:

Are americans getting to much iron?

Generalization: There's some debate about this, but medically, most men get more than enough iron for daily requirements from diet. Some women may not get enough, especially if they don't eat foods like meat or leafy greens. Generalizing that "americans" are getting too much iron really isn't possible, at this point. Also, are you speaking of north americans, south americans, native americans?

Not all: Iron deficiency anemia is a common occurrence pointing to the fact that many americans, especially women are not getting enough iron.
