Person medicine: Telemedicine allows for the delivery of care to persons who would otherwise not be able to get the care they need. And, studies have shown that in many ways it is as effective as more traditional medicine. But it is new, to many it seems odd and maybe most importantly there is no"laying on if hands " or literally the personal touch that can be part of the therapeutic interaction!

Obtacles telepsych: Although medical state boards, medicare, medicaid, value options and correctional facilities has paved the way for telepsychiatry, a type of telemedicine, many hospitals have not incorporated this into the hospitals priviliging bylaws. Without this access to hospital patients will not be possible. The reason for this lag may be related tofears about the technology no insuring patient privacy laws, .
