What things should people consider when choosing a primary care doctor?

It depends on you: Things to consider..Is this for a one time consult or are you looking to develop a long term relationship? What is your age relative to the doctors? What are your values? This seems to be more the prevalent issue is who is on your healthplan.

Great question: The best doc for anyone are those who have a good blend of knowledge and compassion. The pcp visit is often spent reviewing your health history, getting a physical exam, and blood work as well. Some women have both a pcp and gyn. More than anything, you want to know that you can bond well with the doc and staff. Best wishes.
