What risks are with an infusion of fentanyl and maxolon?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Death: I think you mean naloxone, or narcan. Naloxone is an opiate receptor antagonist, meaning it will block the effects of fentanyl. So giving both together will, if the proportions are correct, produce no effect. The danger arises when the short acting Naloxone wears off and the fentanyl now may stop your breathing. Its good to understand pharmacokinetics before adding two different drugs.
