Have an MRI: Pituitary tumors are diagnosed with and followed with an mri. I have seen cases where a pituitary tumor was diagnosed or suspected with an older MRI device and with a newer on it was ruled out. Always, with any test, if a result does not seem likely, get another opinion.

MRI and hormones: An MRI is important to follow the size and recurrence of a pituitary tumor. However, for some pituitary tumors, a cure is often defined by the levels of hormones in your blood stream. It is possible that a pituitary tumor is too small to be seen on mri.
