Does ovulation stop if you are pregnant?

Yes: While you are pregnant, the hormonal cycles that cause you to ovulate and also to have menstrual cycles stop in response to the hormones produced by the placenta. After delivery, breast feeding can extend the amount of time before you begin ovulating again, but is not a reliable form of birth control!

Yes: Pregnancy prevents the hormonal changes that iduce ovulation every month. You can imagine why that would, and should, be the case.
