What will happen if i go to a pain management clinic for fibromyalgia?

Depends: It depends on the doctor and how he or she sees this condition. Some will focus solely on various procedures like trigger point injections and medications and others may focus on more holistic treatments. It is the really great doctor who treats the whole person and addresses all aspects of the disorder. Drs who treat this order need to take the time to listen to the patient.

Treatment options: At a pain management clinic, a physician verifies your history, examines you, confirms the diagnosis, & offers education & treatment options which could include physical therapy, home exercises, trials of oral or topical medications (treating fibromyalgia pain, nerve pain, fatigue, muscle pain, depression, sleep problems, etc), trials of various injections or procedures for pain control.
