No: Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic which blunts pain perception. Ibuprofen is an antiinflammatory which may actually help decrease the cause of pain as well as having some analgesic (pain relieving) properties.

No worry: In fact the combination of Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen is sold as vicoprofen (hydrocodone and ibuprofen).
