A member asked:

What is your understanding of legitimate research about thimerosal (mercury) in influenza vaccines?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Benign product: Interest in thimersol increased after the fda randomly assigned a risk level (little evidence) & mfgs decided to remove it from most vaccines out of caution. It remains in the multidose influenza vaccine vials due to its proven safety & effectiveness in protecting the vaccine.Suggestions of a link to autism have been disproven. Today you get more mercury/yr from your diet than was ever in the vacc.
