Good test: If ultrasound is abnormal need cta.

80-90% reliable : Studies have shown that in symptomatic patients and carotid duplex result of 70-99% then this is most sensetive and no more test is needed. If duplex results 50-69% then another test need to confirm that like cta or mra. If the results are below 50% then no need for other studies unless high clinical suspicion that require another study.
