Has anyone here got a scratch test from an allergist? is "scratch" a code word for needles?

Typically not needle: But rather scratched or pricked with what looks like small plastic toothpicks. Needles are sometimes used for a few stronger tests. If you are too nervous for skin testing, blood testing is an option, too.
