A 23-year-old member asked:

Does endometriosis smell?

Dr. Lee Ann Roberts
Gynecology 42 years experience
No evidence for this: Change in odor is not one of the reported symptoms of endometriosis, those being problems with pain and infertility. Even when operating inside a pelvis full of endometriosis I have never noted any different odor. If the patient notices any foul or fishy smell it is much more likely due to a vaginal infection.

No: To the best of my knowledge there is no particuar odor associated with endometriosis.
