Several options: In the early phrases minimizing inflammation will help to reduce post inflammatory hyperpigmentation using topical steroids. Avoidance of sun exposure may also minimize hyperpigmentation. On occasion peels and or resurfacing may help. Salicylic acid treatments may be beneficial.
