TSH&IODINE HYPOTHYRO: If your hypothyroidism is due to autoimmune conditions like hashimoto disease than increse in iodine increses the autoimmune attack on the thyroid.Iodine reduces the activity of an enzyme called thyroid peroxidase which is required for proper thyroid function so it is possible to come off your thyroid hormone and check your TSH and T3 (liothyronine) andt4 after i month. If TSH goes up you can go back on supplemen.
