Small cyst: Very unlikely to have a 2 cm cyst cause pain. Every month when you ovulate, your follicle is about 2cm in size. (a follicle is the same as a small cyst.) so unless you are having the same pain you do every month mid cycle, it is likely something different.

Pelvic pain: Most of the time, 2 cm ovarian cysts are normal and are not a cause of pain. Nonetheless, if you are having pelvic pain, and it doesn't feel like your usual ibs, other causes should be considered. Since you have had prior surgery, adhesions are possible. Endometriosis could also be present without palpable or imaging findings. You may need a laparoscopy for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
