Depends: If you mean your creatinine level is 1.53, then that above normal for both men and women. A better measure is called GFR for glomerular filtration rate, which adjusts for age and gender, and should be over 60. If your numbers have been normal, this could be dehydration and more water would help. However, drugs, diabetes, high bp, etc can also raise numbers over time. Regardless if keeps high, be seen.

Depends: A 1.53 creatinine is considered mildly elevated. However this number depends on your previous creatinine level. If your level was much lower, then you would be classified as acute renal failure. Then you should drink lots of water and have your doctor check your medications to make sure they are not causing any renal problems.
