Pain from pregnancy: The hormones of pregnancy cause the ligaments in back to relax and stretch with may lead to current back pain and sometimes future chronic lower back pain. The pregnant uterus, also known as the gravid uterus, also puts pressure on the back and pelvic area which can cause the current pelvic and lowe back pain.

No.: Many women have milder pain and dyscomfort but yours does sound excessive. At this point in your pg most of the pain is ligament related. If you have not had prior back or pelvic injuries you should have a full recovery after the delivery of your baby. Good luck.
