A member asked:

My fingers fall asleep often, what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Most common cause would be carpal tunnel syndrome which is a condition in which the median nerve gets compressed at the wrist. It causes numbness, achiness in the hand and in the thumb, index and middle finger. A condition called cubital tunnel at the elbow causes numbness and tingling in the 4th and 5th fingers. Also problems in the neck can cause symptoms in the hand like this.
