Hip bursitis: It is likely that you have a condition called trochanteric bursitis of you hip--it is inflammation of the area surrounding the curve of the hip-thigh bone. Possibly resulted from excessive use/walking/running and/or laying on the side on a firm/hard surface too long. Do some really good range-of-motion/stretching, and use of motrin/aleve may help. If not better, consult doc for eval. Good luck.

Go see your Dr.: This might be a ligament in your hip that was pulled abnormally. It could remotely be a problem with your ovary on that side, like an ovarian cyst, or an adhesion if you had an operation there. You should go see your doctor to find out the cause before it gets worse.
