Marrow Failure: There are several types of diseases needing bone marrow transplant to treat. One group includes a failure of the bone marrow cells to grow and function i.e. Aplastic anemia; and the other includes cancers of the bone marrow cells that are destroyed with chemotherapy/radiation to treat the cancer, then replaced with a bone marrow transplant.
